Here’s some Important Retroactive News I would like to mention!
My new book Paulina P. (for Petersen) is now out in stores! I’m really happy with how it turned out, and hope that you will like it too!
The booklaunch for it was on June 6th at Once Upon a Huckleberry Bush. It was an overall good time to be had! We had really young kids, older kids, really old kids also known as adults, cookies, punch, peach rings, friends, and of course Books! I did a reading of my book and got to see some people I hadn’t seen for a long time and also make some new friends! Thank you again everybody who attended, it certainly wouldn’t have been any fun without you!
Another thing I am really really excited about is the Animation Trailer for my book! It turned out really cute and Jill Southern did a really great job on it. She was very easy to work with and it was so fun for me to see Paulina come to life this way! Also I am greatly indebted to the voice talents of Stella Steedman-Andersson! Thanks again Stella, well done!
Here are some photos from the launch. Unfortunately we didn’t take very many. Next time! :)

News: Updates on ‘The Day It All Blew Away’
A lot has happened since I’ve been wanting to make a new site. Now that it’s ready, I am going to go ahead and list a couple of things that happened after the release of my first Book ‘The Day it all blew Away’. Seeing as I’ve never had a blog before there is a lot that I would like to retroactively put up here regarding my first book especially. One of these days I’d like to have a whole site just for my kids books, but it definitely won’t be anytime too soon!
In March 2008 ‘The Day It All Blew Away’ got nominated for the Christie Harris Illustrated Book Price for the BC Book Awards!
Because of this I got to go on a Book Tour around the lower Mainland along with 3 other authors! It was sooooooo much fun! Luckily I did a couple of school visits before the tour so I was well prepared for doing readings in front of classes and already had a certain structure worked out for presentations. Well, … sort of. :) It was really fantastic to meet all of these kids who were so interested, smart and insightful. It was super cool to get to read my book to all of these classes in the lower mainland! Also, BC Book Prizes highly encouraged all the finalists to write about our experiences on tour on the BC Book Prizes Tour Blog, which I did, so if you want, you can check that out for more in-depth recollections regarding my book tour. Also there are quite a few photos on the blog. I will try to post a few here below for convenience sake. Jamie from BC Book Prizes was also very smart in having the idea of making a short video of me doing a reading in front of a class. I like it because of all the kids reactions you can hear in it, even though I seem a bit of a dork in it, but I guess that’s just my usual self. :)
