Lisa Cinar is an illustrator, writer, designer, (picture) book-fan, dog-petter, pattern-lover, fibromyalgia-hater and owner at Draw Me A Lion, an online shop of cards, prints and other fun things. She taught at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design’s CS department for seven years (2010-2017) where she developed the curriculum for a a highly successful and popular certificate illustration program on picture book illustration & writing. She is currently studying to obtain her diploma in Art Therapy at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.
Originally from Germany, Lisa lived in Boston MA for several years and now resides in Vancouver, Canada, the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations and is honoured to be a part of this unique place of ocean and forests that continue to remain beautiful, magical and alive despite colonialism. She hopes her work can contribute to the continuation of this beauty.
Lisa has written and illustrated numerous picture books and chapter books. Her most recent works are You And Me Both written by Mahtab Narsimhan published by OWL Kids and her newest book Monster Problems, available via amazon.
