Duration: 6 weeks

Each session is 90min in length. Once you have completed your initial 6 sessions you may wish to continue your practice on your own, or have the option to sign up for additional 90min or 60 min single sessions as repeat client.

You can pay in two instalments:
50% prior the beginning of the first session, and the other 50% prior the beginning of the fourth.

I am a strong believer in resourcing you with tools and techniques that empower you to help yourself regulate in trying times. At the end of our last session you will receive a short pdf document of your unique toolkit go-to's to take with you. That way it's easy to access when you need it next!

BEFORE YOU COMMIT -
Free 20min meet & greet!
STEP 1
Introduction form

We are going to take advantage of our meet & greet minute by minute, so before our meeting I will ask you to fill out a very short introduction form. This way I will know how to best guide you! You will be guided to the form once you click the sign up button for a meet and greet.

STEP 2
Meet & greet - video call on zoom

During the call we talk about what you are hoping to get out of the sessions, fill in any questions you might have, and just generally get a feel for each other to see if this could be a mutually good fit for a therapeutic connection. If it is, we proceed to our 6 paid scheduled sessions outlined in step 3. If it isn't—No hard feelings! I want you to find the right therapist to fit your needs! If it's not me that's ok:)

STEP 3
6 Creative art therapy sessions on zoom

We will schedule a zoom video call every week. Each one will be 90 minutes long. During our sessions, I will listen to your needs and introduce you to creative therapeutic techniques and resources. Together we will review progress you'd like to make and set potential goals or ideas for the next session. Ideally you would be scheduling one-session-a-week for 6 consecutive weeks.

If you can't make a session on a specific week, it's ok to skip a week but I highly suggest you schedule the sessions within a 8 week period max in order to keep up momentum. Part of the success in sessions comes from consistency and momentum. Together the two create optimal conditions for maximum impact of sessions.

I will set aside one day a week to answer any follow up questions you send me via email so you have ongoing support throughout the 6 weeks in case anything important comes up in between our sessions.

There is an indigenous proverb that says: " Give someone a fish and you will feed them for a day; teach someone to fish and you will feed them for a lifetime." I love that sentiment because it's all about resourcing, creating independence and lasting solutions.

During our sessions we will figure out which tools and techniques are best suited to your current needs. Once we find them, we will explore how you can implement them at home whenever you need to regulate your nervous system or deal with adversity. Together we will create a list of coping strategies and go-to's that you can turn to again and again, long after our sessions end—for a lifetime!

It was great to be guided through a process of re-exploring my interest in art, but in a completely new way - focusing on letting go of expectations rather than conforming to any particular style or outcome. Weaving in some somatic practice has also been especially beneficial, as it helped ground me before sessions, but also gave me some wider techniques for stress reduction in general life. I have done art therapy with two other professionals and I thought my time with Lisa was really great. Why start with a

6 Session Bundle?

Instead of seeing the sessions as 6 individual sessions, please view them as one long stretch of time that we need to spend together and explore in together in order for this to work best. For example, this means that just because you might not be fully blown away by the first session, or even the second one, you might suddenly have a breakthrough in the 5th sessions and that will make it all worth it! It takes time to form a strong therapeutic alliance, cover techniques tailored to your specific needs and really dive into the process. Because of this, an initial commitment to a minimum of 6 sessions at a once-a-week-pace is called for if you are looking to actually make an impact in your life. Trust that your investment in yourself will pay off! In a month and a half's time you will be equipped with a toolkit of creative, therapeutic go-to's that you can carry with you through life, forever!

Once you have completed your initial bundle of 6 sessions, you might decide this was really all you needed or you will have the option of signing up for single sessions with me at less frequent intervals at your convenience.
